Pasg – Easter

Gobeithio eich bod chi i gyd yn cadw’n saff.

Rydym wir wedi mwynhau gweld lluniau a clywed beth mae’r plant wedi bod yn gwneud.

Yng nghanol pob dim, mae’n bwysig i bawb gael seibiant yn ystod y gwyliau Pasg. Rydym yn annog i blant CA2 i ddefnyddio teams i sgwrsio a chadw mewn cysylltiad efo ffrindiau. Mi fydd awgrymiadau o weithgareddau ar yr app cyn diwedd y dydd. Nid yw’r gweithgareddau yn hanfodol. Mi fydd y staff yn gweithio yn yr hwb yn ystod y Pasg ond ni fydd yr athrawon yn ymateb i sylwadau/ lluniau y plant yn ystod y Pasg.

Os oes gennych unrhyw gwestiynau neu pryderon cysylltwch a’r ysgol drwy ffôn neu ebost. Mae canllawiau clir wedi cyrraedd yr ysgol am gysylltu efo staff drwy systemau proffesiynol ac nid drwy cyfryngau cymdeithasol.  Os byddwch yn ebostio office@llanfyllin.powys.sch.uk gallaf gyrru yr ebost ymlaen at y staff priodol a byddant yn cysylltu efo chi drwy ebost yr ysgol. Os oes angen i staff eich ffonio yn ystod y cyfnod ‘Dysgu Cartref’ bydd y rhif yn ymddangos yn ‘Private Number’.

Edrychwch ar ol eich hunain. Cadwch yn saff a byddwch hapus!

I hope you’re all keeping safe.

We truly have enjoyed reading and seeing pictures of what the children have been doing.

In the middle of everything, it is important that everyone has a break during the Easter holidays. We encourage KS2 children to use teams to chat and keep in touch with friends. There will be suggestions of activities on the app before the end of the day. The activities are not compulsory. The staff will be working at the Hub during Easter, however, they will not be responding to the children’s comments/photos during the Easter break. We will send further information towards the end of the break about the first week of ‘Learning fro home’.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact the school by phone or email. Clear guidelines have arrived at school about contacting staff through professional systems and not through social media.  If you e-mail office@llanfyllin.powys.sch.uk. I can forward emails to the relevant staff and they will contact you via their school email. If staff need to phone you during the ‘ Learning from home’ period the number will appear as’ Private Number ‘.

Look after yourselves. Keep safe and be happy!

Prydau Ysgol am Ddim – Free School Meals

Diweddariad Prydau Ysgol Am Ddim

Ar hyn o bryd mae Cyngor Sir Powys yn y broses o gysylltu â holl rieni a gofalwyr disgyblion sydd â hawl i brydau ysgol am ddim. Mae hyn er mwyn gwirio bod eu manylion cyswllt yn gywir cyn rhoi unrhyw dalebau neu daliadau.

Mae ganddyn nhw gynllun talebau Tesco wedi’i sefydlu, na fydd yn addas i bawb, ond maen nhw hefyd yn y broses o sefydlu cynllun “cyfnewid allan” Pay Point, lle bydd rhieni’n derbyn taleb trwy SMS neu e-bost y byddan nhw’n gallu cyfnewid i arian parod mewn siop pwyntiau talu lleol (am arian parod).

Os nad yw’r naill na’r llall o’r opsiynau hyn yn addas, yna bydd rhieni’n gallu cysylltu â’r Tîm Incwm a Dyfarniadau ar 01597 826345 a gofyn am daliad i’w cyfrifon banc. Bydd rhieni’n derbyn £15.00 yr wythnos i bob plentyn; bydd hyn yn cynnwys yr wythnos hon (30ain Mawrth – 3ydd Ebrill) a dros gyfnod egwyl y Pasg. Yna’n parhau bob pythefnos. Gellir gwneud ymholiadau talebau ar 01597 826660, er y bydd Powys yn cysylltu â phob rhiant.

Mae’r cynllun talebau Pay Point yn cymryd ychydig mwy o amser i’w sefydlu a dylai fod ar gael o fewn 1-2 wythnos, ond maen nhw’n pwyso i sefydlu hyn cyn gynted â phosib. Mae Powys yn gweithio’n galed i drefnu hyn cyn gynted â phosib.

Free School Meals Update

Powys County Council are currently in the process of contacting all parents and carers of entitled free school meal pupils. This is to check that they have their contact details correct prior to issuing any vouchers or payments.

They have a Tesco voucher scheme set up, which will not suit everyone, however they are also in the process of also setting up a Pay Point “cash out” scheme,  where parents will receive a voucher via SMS or email which they will be able to cash at a local pay point store (for cash).

If neither of these options are suitable, then parents will be able to contact the Income & Awards Team on 01597 826345 and request a payment to their bank accounts. Parents will receive £15.00 per week per child; this will include this week (30th March – 3rd April) and over the Easter break period. Then ongoing fortnightly. Voucher queries can be made on 01597 826660, although all parents will be contacted by Powys.

The Pay Point voucher scheme is taking a little longer to set up and should be available within 1-2 weeks, but they are pushing to get this set up as quickly as possible. Powys are working hard to get this arranged ASAP.

Dysgu o’r cartref- Home learning

Annwyl rhieni/ gofalwyr,

Gobeithio eich bod yn cadw’n saff ac yn mwynhau’r amser gyda’ch gilydd adref.

Rydym ni fel ysgol yn gwerthfawrogi eich cefnogaeth a’ch dealltwriaeth ar yr adeg yma.

Roedd y staff yn brysur iawn wythnos diwethaf yn paratoi yr ysgol ar gyfer yr ‘hwb’newydd. Os nad ydych yn ymwybodol, mae’r hwb yn ddarpariaeth gofal plant brys i blant gweithwyr allweddol i’w galluogi i weithio yn ystod y cyfnod holl bwysig yma. Os gall plant aros yn ddiogel yn eu cartref, dylent. Bydd y ganolfan gofal plant brys ar agor o 8am – 6pm bob dydd, 7 diwrnod yr wythnos – gan gynnwys ar benwythnosau ac yn ystod gwyliau’r ysgol. Mae’r staff yn gweithio gyda’i gilydd ar rota gydag aelodau eraill o staff o fewn y clwstwr. Mae hi wedi bod yn wych i weithio gyda’r ysgolion cynradd eraill a’r ysgol uwchradd a chefnogi ein gilydd drwy’r cyfnod hwn.

Mae’r staff yn parhau i gynllunio yr wythnos hon ar gyfer ‘Dysgu o’r Carterf’. Bydd hyn yn chychwyn ar yr 22ain o Ebrill. Er hyn, byddwn yn parhau i yrru awgrymiadau o weithgareddau i wneud adref yn ystod y gwyliau Pasg.

Gofynnwn i BAWB i fewngofnodi ar ‘Hwb’ er mwyn sicrhau bod eu cyfrif yn gweithio. Yn ogystal a hyn gofynaf;

  • I ddisgyblion Cyfnod Allweddol 2 (Bl 3-6) cael mynediad i ‘Microsoft Teams’, unai drwy hwb neu drwy lawrlwytho’r app
  • Cyfnod Sylfaen (Derbyn i flwyddyn 2) cael mynediad i ‘Just2easy’ drwy Hwb.

Rydym yn annog y disgyblion i arbrofi cyn i ni gychwyn ar ol Pasg.

  • Os ydych yn cael unrhyw broblemau neu os nad yw eich plentyn yn gallu mewngofnodi, ebostiwch ni erbyn dydd Iau, 2il o Ebrill os gwelwch yn dda.
  • Edrychwch ar yr atodiadau i gael rhagor o fanylion am fewngofnodi i hwb/Microsoft Teams.

Os oes rhywbeth gallwn wneud i gefnogi yna cysylltwch drwy ebost neu ffôn. Cymerwch ofal a chadwch yn saff.

Dear Parents/ Carers,

The staff were very busy last week preparing the school for the new ‘Hub’. If you’re not aware, the hub is emergency childcare provision for children of key workers to enable them to work during this critical period. If children can stay safely in their home, they should. The Emergency Childcare Hub will be open from 8am – 6pm daily, 7 days a week – including weekends and during school holidays. The staff are working together on a rota with other members of staff within the cluster. It’s been great to work alongside the other primary schools and the high school and support each other through this time.

The staff continue this week with planning for our ‘learning from home’. This will commence on Tuesday 22nd of April. However, we will send links and suggested activities home over Easter, but again, these are not compulsory tasks.

Can we ask EVERYONE to log into their ‘Hwb’ accounts to ensure they work. In addition can I ask;

  • Key stage 2 pupils (year 3-6) to access Microsoft teams too, either through hwb or by downloading the app.
  • Foundation Phase (Reception – Year 2) pupils to access ‘Just2easy’ through ‘Hwb’.

We encourage pupils to experiment before we start after Easter.

If you are having any problems or your child is unable to log in, please email us by Thursday, April 2nd.

Please see the attachments for further details about logging into Hwb/ Microsoft teams.

If there is anything we can do to help, please get in touch via email/ telephone. Take care and keep safe.

Cofion/ Kind regards

Prydau ysgol am ddim – Free School Meals

Prydau ysgol am ddim

Er mwyn cefnogi ein disgyblion sy’n cael prydau ysgol am ddim; Rydym wedi penderfynu talu’r lwfans i gyfrifon banc rhieni/gofalwyr fel y gallwch brynu bwyd i’ch plant yn uniongyrchol. Mae hyn yn cael ei wneud gyda chymorth ein tîm gwobrau incwm. Lle nad ydym eisoes yn dal gwybodaeth am gyfrif banc, bydd y tîm yn cysylltu â rhieni a gofalwyr ac yn gofyn iddynt lenwi ffurflen ar-lein drwy wefan Powys. Ni fyddwn yn galw ac yn gofyn i chi ddarparu gwybodaeth am eich cyfrif banc dros y ffôn, oni bai nad ydych yn gallu llenwi’r ffurflen ar-lein.

Gyda dosbarthiad daearyddol y disgyblion sy’n cael prydau ysgol am ddim, a’r nifer gymharol fach o ganolfannau gofal plant, nid yw’n ymarferol bosibl gollwng prydau o ddrws i ddrws neu ddisgwyl i bobl deithio pellter i gasglu prydau bwyd. Felly, penderfynwyd darparu’r lwfans fel hyn am y tro.

Ar hyn o bryd, mae Llywodraeth Cymru yn gweithio ar gynllun talebau Cenedlaethol, a fyddai’n galluogi rhieni a gofalwyr i brynu bwyd eu hunain. Pan fydd rhagor o wybodaeth ar gael am y cynllun talebau, bydd Cyngor Sir Powys yn ystyried y dull mwyaf priodol o symud ymlaen.

Free School Meals

In order to support our entitled free school meal pupils; we have decided to pay the allowance into parents/carers bank accounts so that you can purchase food for your children directly. This is being done with the support of our Income & Awards Team. Where we do not already hold bank account information, the team will contact parents and carers and ask them to complete an online form via the Powys website. We will not call and ask you to provide your bank account information over the phone, unless you are not able to complete the form online.

With the geographical spread of free school meal pupils, and the relatively small number of childcare hubs, it is not logistically possible to drop meals door to door or expect people to travel a distance to collect meals. Therefore, it has been decided to provide the allowance in this way for the time being.

The Welsh Government is currently working on a National Voucher Scheme, which would enable parents and carers to purchase food themselves. Once further information is available on the voucher scheme, Powys County Council will consider the most appropriate approach moving forward.

Emergency childcare hubs

Emergency childcare hubs will be operating from 13 locations across the county from this Friday (27 March), Powys County Council has said.

School sites in the county will remain open until Thursday, March 26 but only for children of critical workers and the most vulnerable children.

The hubs, which will provide childcare to support critical emergency workers, NHS staff and social care workers as well as the county’s most vulnerable children, will also operate at weekends.  The hubs will operate from 8am to 6pm.

To access provision from Friday, March 27 to Friday, April 3, critical workers will need to register their child at their nearest emergency childcare hub by filling in an online form by 9pm on Wednesday, March 25.

As part of the arrangements, meals will be provided to children three times a day and transport will be arranged for children to get to the hubs and back home.

Cllr Phyl Davies, Cabinet Member for Education and Property, said: “The advice to parents is clear – if your children can stay safely in their home, they should.

“However, critical workers will still need to have safe care arrangements for their children.  These emergency childcare hubs will be providing a vital service to support critical workers and our most vulnerable children.

“Our school sites will remain open up until Thursday as emergency childcare facilities but then they will close and these hubs will become operational from Friday onwards.

“I want to thank all professionals at our schools for their commitment during this extremely difficult period.”
