Bydd ein disgyblion blwyddyn 5 a 6 yn parhau i gael y cyfle i gymryd rhan mewn prosiect Gwyddoniaeth gyffrous dros yr 8 wythnos nesaf. Mae’r cynllunio yn troi o gwmpas egwyddorion y Cwricwlwm Newydd o ddysgu ar sail datblygu sgiliau, gan ddatblygu ein disgyblion i fod yn ddysgwyr annibynnol gyda chyfleoedd mwy rhyngweithiol yn y labordy, fe addysgir gan arbenigwr Gwyddoniaeth. Rhennir y disgyblion yn 4 prif grŵp, a gynrychiolir gan y 4 diben, dysgwyr galluog uchelgeisiol, dinasyddion sy’n wybodus yn foesegol, cyfranwyr creadigol a mentrus ac unigolion hyderus iach. Bydd disgyblion hefyd yn parhau i weithio ar sgiliau ar sgiliau trawsgwricwlaidd llythrennedd, rhifedd a chymhwysedd digidol.
Oherwydd bod y prosiect yn seiliedig ar Lygod Mawr, byddant yn parhau i archwilio moeseg defnyddio Llygod Mawr ar gyfer arbrofi, cynllunio labordy Llygod Mawr, cynnal ymchwiliad gwyddonol i’r system organau a chreu cyflwyniad ar sut i gadw Llygod Mawr fel anifeiliaid anwes. Mae cyfle i arsylwi 10 munud o ddyrannu bob pythefnos fel rhan o’u wers Gwyddoniaeth. Os bydd rhieni yn pryderu, neu os oes gennych unrhyw gwestiwn am y rhan yma o’r wers, yna cysylltwch â swyddfa’r ysgol. Yma yn Ysgol Llanfyllin, fel ysgol pob oed, rydym yn gyffrous iawn i fedru cynnig cyfleoedd fel hyn i’n disgyblion.
Our Year 5 and 6 pupils will continue to have the opportunity to take part in an exciting Science project over the next 8 weeks. The planning of it revolves around the New Curriculum principles of skills based learning, developing our pupils to be independent learners and more interactive opportunities in the laboratory, taught by a Science specialist. Pupils are divided into 4 main groups, represented by the 4 purposes, ambitious capable learners, ethically informed citizens, creative and enterprising contributors and healthy confident individuals. Pupils will also continue to work on the cross curricular skills of literacy, numeracy and digital competency.
As the project is based around rats, they will continue to explore the ethics of using rats in experimentation, designing a rat laboratory, conducting scientific inquiry into the organ systems and creating a presentation on how to keep rats as pets. There is the opportunity to observe a 10 minute dissection every fortnight as part of their Science lesson.
