Minute Taker for the Governing Body of Ysgol Llanfyllin

The Governing Body of Ysgol Llanfyllin is seeking to employ a Minute Taker. Previous experience of minute taking would be an advantage and Welsh Language is desirable, but not essential.

The role would involve evening meetings, generally on Thursdays at 6pm. We average about 18 meetings per academic year the length of the meetings vary from as little as one hour to, on some occasions two, two and a half hours. Currently, Full Governing Body meetings are in person while Committee meetings are via Teams. Hours would also be paid for time spent writing up the Minutes and a laptop will be provided.

The pay is £12.45 per hour. The contract would be a Casual by Claim one. Other opportunities may become available within the school, such as Invigilation of exams or other ad-hoc cover work for absences, depending on experience.

The Governing Body of Ysgol Llanfyllin is seeking to employ a Teaching Assistant to join our ALN team. They will be working across all Key Stages under the overall supervision of our ALNCo, assisting and supporting teaching and learning, working with individuals or groups and assisting in providing for general care, safety and the welfare of pupils.

Level 2, Grade 4 Point 5  £13.23 per hour.

Hours – 28 hours per week (5days per week), term-time only. (Occasional training days paid on claim)

Welsh skills would be desirable.

School Site Manager Vacancy

The Governing Body of Ysgol Llanfyllin is seeking to employ a Site Manager.  Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.  A ‘can do’ attitude and good DIY/Handyman skills, an understanding of basic plumbing, electrical work and heating systems are essential.  Some experience of managing a small team would also be an advantage as would some knowledge of health and safety procedures.  This role comes with full responsibility for the extensive site, supported by an Assistant Caretaker and a Groundsman.  As the school is used occasionally by the local community at weekends and evenings, some out of hours work will be required, paid at the set hourly rate. 

Hours – Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 4.30pm, 4.00pm on a Friday

52 weeks per year.  Six weeks paid holiday.

Grade 7 Scp 15, £15.53 per hour
