Changes to Breakfast Club Menu

In order to comply with The Healthy Eating in Schools (Nutritional Standards and Requirements) (Maintained Primary Schools (Wales) Regulations 2025: Anticipated version of Statutory Guidance for Local Authorities and Governing Bodies, we are making some changes to the Breakfast Club menu.

We will no longer be serving fruit juice – milk and water will be the only options.

Cereals cannot be coated or flavoured with sugar, chocolate or cocoa powder.

All bread must be at least 50% wholemeal.

Unsaturated spreads including vegetable, olive, rapeseed and sunflower varieties must be used.

Bydd gan yr ymgeisydd llwyddiannus ddiddordeb a phrofiad o fyd addysg, a pharodrwydd i weithio gydag eraill, y gallu i reoli dosbarth yn gadarn, agwedd hyblyg a bod yn barod i gefnogi ethos yr ysgol.

Bydd yr ymgeisydd llwyddiannus yn gorfod ymgymryd â gwiriad y Gwasanaeth Datgelu a Gwahardd (DBS) a cofrestru gyda’r Cyngor Gweithlu Addysg. Hefyd, mae’r gallu i siarad Cymraeg yn ddymunol.

Cover Supervisor

Grade 6 – Pro rata rate of £21,246 (based on FTE of 37 hours, 52 weeks)

The Governors are currently seeking to appoint a full-time (32.5 hours), Term Time Only Cover Supervisor to supervise students in classes during a teacher’s absence, and to fulfil other supporting roles when not needed in the classroom. 

The successful candidate will have an interest and experience in education, a willingness to work with others, the ability to exercise strong classroom management, a flexible approach and be prepared to support the school ethos. 

The successful candidates will have to undertake an Enhanced DBS check and register with the Education Workforce Council. Furthermore, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable.

Applications must reach the school by 5:30pm on Monday 18^th of May, 2026.

Years 2-6 will be doing personalised assessments this week.  They are national assessments, which will give us an opportunity to monitor your child’s progress. There is no need for your child to revise for the assessments or worry about them.  We will ensure that your child is aware of this too.

 Please could all pupils in Mr Doolan and Miss Evans’ class remember to bring their PE kits into school on Monday ready for their PE lessons. We ask that pupils PE kits are left in school on their pegs as there will be lots of sports practices in the summer term. A PE kits consists of black shorts or black tracksuit bottoms, a white round-neck t-shirt and trainers that are not their school shoes.
