Profion Gallu Gwybyddol
Yn ystod y pythefnos nesaf bydd disgyblion ym Mlynyddoedd 4 a 7 yn sefyll Profion Gallu Gwybyddol. Mae’r profion hyn wedi’u cynllunio i asesu cryfderau a gwendidau disgyblion mewn sgiliau Llafar, Meintiol ac Aneiriol. Gwneir y profion hyn gan bob ysgol ym Mhowys ac fe’u cynlluniwyd i helpu myfyrwyr a’u hathrawon i ddeall sut y maent yn dysgu a beth allai eu potensial academaidd fod. Mae’n asesu sut mae myfyrwyr yn meddwl mewn meysydd y gwyddys eu bod yn gwneud gwahaniaeth i’w dysgu
Os yw disgyblion yn absennol ar gyfer y prawf hyn, byddant yn sefyll wrth ddychwelyd i’r ysgol.
Cognitive Ability Tests
During the next fortnight pupils in Years 4 and 7 will sit Cognitive Ability Tests. These tests are designed to assess pupil’s strengths and weaknesses in Verbal, Quantitative and Non verbal skills. Theses tests are undertaken by all schools in Powys and and are designed to help students and their teachers understand how they learn and what their academic potential might be. It assesses how students think in areas that are known to make a difference to learning.
If pupils are absent for these test they will sit them on returning to school.
