What if we said your child could have the opportunity to be fluent in Welsh and fully bilingual?
This opportunity is available from September for the primary phase pupils here at Ysgol Llanfyllin and schools within the cluster.
It’s not too late to benefit from bilingual education
There is an opportunity for English medium pupils to learn Welsh and become fluent in the language. We can provide pupils with an intensive introductory course to develop their skills in Welsh. If you decide to attend the programme, your child would follow an accelerated special programme of study for 12 weeks and then study in a Welsh stream/ Welsh medium school alongside other pupils.
What if my child doesn’t speak Welsh?
The course is an opportunity to give pupils an effective injection of basic language skills. These skills are then built upon in every area of school life.
What are the advantages for my child by taking part in this project?
